Hello Oso Students, Families, and Community

Welcome back to another exciting school year! I hope everyone had a fun, relaxing, and enjoyable summer break. I am excited and honored to be entering my 2nd year as the Executive Director / Principal at Valiente College Preparatory Charter School for the 23-24  academic school year.

I am excited to embark on another year as we all work together to continue to bring academic rigor and excellence to our students, families, and community. I am entering my 17th year serving students and families of color in diverse communities and neighborhoods. Over the years I have learned how to support and overcome the challenges that many of our students and families face on a daily basis. In addition, I have always kept high expectations for our students while also being realistic about what growth is needed to impact change in every student. I am big on building partnerships with families as it will take a village to keep pushing our students to excellence and teaching them how to be well-rounded students; not just in school but in their families and communities.

This year we will have an intentional focus on building and supporting all students in three core aspects: academics, personal/social, and strengthening and building positive student and family relationships. I am privileged to lead the charge with all stakeholders to ensure we are setting up the next generation of scholars for success.

Our students and your children are the next generations of leaders! I look forward to getting to know each student, and each parent to create strong partnerships in service of helping all students be successful.
